I am so happy to show you the little Hitty quilts made from our Wendi Dunn’s fabric! Isn’t this just the sweetest fabric? I was able to get six quilts from the material sent to me!

 

I cut the quilt fabric the size I needed and then cut a backing about an inch or so bigger. I sewed around the quilt fabric and lining fabric with wrong sides together. Then the excess fabric on the lining fabric was ironed down and flipped over onto the quilt fabric and whipped stitched around it to have a little border! Fun and easy!

Hitty Violette!

 I can't seem to stop carving at the moment and I have another Hitty to introduce you to. Meet the newly carved and born Hitty Violette. She may be my favorite so far. I have learned so much from my Hitty friends who carve. Shoot! I've run out of carving blanks!

Meet Hitty April and Hitty Sunshine

While my other Hittys are taking care of the little babies, I decided to carve two more Hittys. Meet Hitty April and Hitty Sunshine! Now Hitty Sunshine may not be a Hitty because she wanted freckles. I still can’t get the faces the way I want them! I now have watched Janet Cordell’s video of carving a Hitty - learned a lot but can’t carve like her! I love the little faces on the Judy Brown Hittys but I can’t get that look either!! Shoot!!! I guess I’ll just have to carve like me! I’m stubborn and will keep on trying!
