Hitty
Caroline said she was tired of gardening for awhile and wanted to be a
lilttle lady - so she needed a new dress and a hat!
Do these girls have me wrapped around their little wooden fingers?

Hi, Hitty Sisters! Well, I've learned a lesson - do not let your Hittys browse our group! I'm a member of the Hitty and Friends group on Facebook.
I let Hitty Delilah do that and she saw one of the members Hitty in a pretty green dress with the white collar. Hitty Delilah
had a fit and cried and cried and said she wanted one just like it in
red! Oh, the kindness of our Hitty Sisters. Here stands Hitty Delilah in
her new red crocheted dress! I'm a sucker for these little dolls!

I thought I would share my four carves so far! I have improved, I guess, but I'm gonna keep on carving!
I can't get Hitty's face to look like I think she should. I've got the body and limbs down pretty good, but that face! Then I have to paint it!
I'll get there - one day!

Hitty
Caroline was looking at the other Hittys clothes and she just wasn't
too happy. So, we went online and looked at little girl clothes and she
saw overalls and a little top. She wanted that but she wanted them
crocheted. So I obliged!
Here
she is modeling her new outfit! Also when I was painting her, she
didn't want boots but she wanted little Mary Jane shoes. I cave easily.
Here you go, Hitty Caroline has started her own garden and it looks very successful so far. I'm hoping she will harvest lots of yummy veggies!!

Well, it seemed like it was time to carve another Hitty doll so I went to town.
Meet Hitty Caroline
I'm still rather new to carving and see I messed up because her neck is crooked! Each Hitty seems to have their own personality after they are carved and she told me her name was to be Caroline. While I was carving her I was listening to Neal Diamond as he sang "Sweet Caroline", so that was it. She told me her name was to be Caroline!
Now I've got to get busy and make her come clothes. Can't have her bopping around naked!

Can't wait to get back on the road again!

I would like to introduce you to Hitty Trixie! She is a cloth Hitty made from a pattern from Diane Peachy who has an Etsy shop where you can buy the pattern. You cut out the pattern, sew and stuff and then the fun stuff starts. Her limbs are jointed with buttons and then you get to paint her face, hair, boots and undies (if you want undies). Diane's pattern is made so your Hitty can actually stand alone!
I love her!
I do think she turned out sweet. I'm not very good at painting faces and after the first time I painted her face - I didn't like it. So, I repainted over it and started again. I liked this face better.
Then it was time to make her a little dress! She was so excited to put it on and she grabbed it before the final ironing! These girls are amazing!
