She is sitting in the middle of my two tiny carved dolls. They are just a little bit embarrassed as she is just so beautiful! Now Sharon;s little doll came naked so I had to crochet her a dress. My little dolls were so intimidated by their silly expressions I had painted on their faces - so I tried to give them a small makeover. They are pleased but are still in awe over Sharon's carved doll - I named her Sharona,

Well, the group got together and wanted to throw a surprise party to welcome to the family our new Hitty Larken! She was just thrilled and the group presented her with a little doggy - a Boston Terrior - and Hitty Larken named her 'Sugar'. Hope Sugar and Tang get along. Also, Bitty Hitty Baily was so lonesome and now she has a little friend named Tippy. So the entire Hitty Family, including little Bubba and Dusty are so thrilled with the new addition! Life is grand in Williamson Hitty land.

I am retuning to Texas from the Hitty Lark event in Branson, and I had more fun than should be allowed! Got to meet so many of our group! The most exciting thing is I’m going home with an event doll carved by Janet Cordell, TC Vollum and Adina Huckins! She is beautiful and I’ve named her Hitty Larken. Meet my new girl!!
Hitty Larken is a typical little girl as she wanted to try on one of my Hitty's dresses!
I
had such a wonderful time at the Hitty Lark Foofaraw and am so happy
to have come home with a beautiful event doll, Hitty Larken. Well, she
doesn't know if she is from Arkansas or Missouri, so we are swearing
her in as a Texan. Hitty Larken says with her little wooden hand on the
Bible, "I will say 'y'all' as often as I can, I will eat breaded fried
okra when I can, I will salute the Texas flag, sing the state song
'Texas, Our Texas' when appropriate and honor the state flower, the bluebonnet, but not hold it too tightly as it's prickly - so help me God!"
Hitty Larken is now a full blooded wooden Texan and she needed something crocheted. I haven’t had time to crochet her a dress yet but did take a little bit to make her a lovely shawl! I think she is pleased!
Here is the back of the shawl.
